How Physiotherapy works?

When is Physiotherapy right for my dog?

Physiotherapy can be a great way for treating dog with the below conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Hip and elbow dysplasia

  • Post-surgical recovery (Such as TPLO/TTA)

  • Neurological disorders including spinal or disc problems (IVDD)

  • Obesity and weight management

  • Chronic pain and stiffness

  • Muscle atrophy or reduced fitness

FAQs

  • The first session will take 1 hour.  This will include a full assessment, initial treatment and then a plan is made for the care needed. Follow-up sessions will be up to 45minutes depending on your pet’s needs.

  • Most pets benefit from a series of 3-10 sessions. Your pet’s unique plan will be determined after the initial assessment.

  • Treatments are tailored to individual patients but interventions and support included soft tissue massage and release, joint mobilisation, core stabilisation, laser, and hydrotherapy.
